Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 7, 2026

1. Introduction

Synclio™ ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information when you use Synclio™ ("the Software") or visit our website.

2. Information We Collect

We collect only what is necessary to provide and improve the Software:

  • Purchase information: When you purchase a license, our payment processor (Paddle) collects your name, email address, and payment details. We receive a transaction record but do not store full payment card details.
  • License & device data: We store the license key issued to you and the device(s) it is activated on, to enforce license limits and provide support.
  • Usage & error data: The Software may generate local log files (stored only on your device) to help diagnose issues. These logs are not automatically transmitted to us.
  • Website analytics: We may collect anonymous, aggregated data about how visitors use our website (e.g., page views, referral source). This data cannot be used to identify you personally.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Deliver and activate your purchased license;
  • Provide customer support and respond to enquiries;
  • Send important service-related communications (e.g., license renewal reminders or critical security notices);
  • Improve the Software and website based on aggregated, anonymised usage patterns.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.

4. Payment Processing

All payments are processed by Paddle, our authorised reseller and merchant of record. Paddle handles payment card data in compliance with PCI-DSS. By purchasing through Synclio™, you also agree to Paddle's privacy policy, available at paddle.com/legal/privacy.

5. Cookies

Our website may use essential cookies to maintain your session and remember preferences. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings; however, some site functionality may be affected.

6. Data Retention

We retain purchase and license records for as long as your license is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to comply with legal and accounting obligations. You may request deletion of your data at any time (see Section 8).

7. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information from unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, but we take commercially reasonable steps to protect your data.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you;
  • Request correction of inaccurate data;
  • Request deletion of your personal data;
  • Object to or restrict certain processing activities;

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy on this page with an updated date. Your continued use of the Software or website after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
